Arpan Ghoshal, who became a sensation with his character Dodo in Meyebela, will also play a key character in the Hoichoi series
Despite its share of controversy Abhrajit Sen’s Dakghor on Hoichoi has garnered appreciation from all quarters. Now, the director has started his new directorial project, Samparka. The Hoichoi series will feature Ishaa Saha, and Saurav Das in the lead. Actress Swastika Dutta will play an essential character in the series. Arpan Ghoshal, who became a sensation with his character Dodo in Meyebela, will also play a key character. Neel B Mitra has penned the script of the show.
The shooting of the series started on August 20 and will go on till September 1. If all goes well, the show will be dropped in October. While there has been no confirmation from the makers, the show will be announced at the annual slate event of Hoichoi. According to sources, a number of shows, including Parambrata Chatterjee’s paranormal thriller, the seventh season of Eken Babu, Indu 3, the second season of Ghobir Joler Mach, and the second part of Nikhoj, will be announced at the event.

Meanwhile, Srijit Mukherji’s much-anticipated series Durgo Rawhoshyo will also be dropped on Hoichoi. Earlier, it was scheduled to be released during Puja. However, according to sources, the release of this Byomkesh Bakshi-series, which is a part of Hoichoi’s ‘Best of Bengal’. May be preponed. Srijit’s series features Anirban Bhattacharya as Byomkesh Bakshi, Rahul Arunodoy Mitra as Ajit Bandyopadhyay, Sohini Sarkar as Satyabati, Chandan Sen as Purandar Pandey and Debraj Bhattacharya as Manilal.

On the other hand, Ishaa sharted her shooting after her trip from the UK. There, she worked with Ritwick Chakraborty and Anirban Chakrabarti in a film by Joydeep Mukherjee. Meanwhile, Saurav last worked in Sayantan Ghosal’s Homestay Murders in which, Sohini Sarkar, Arjun Chakrabarty, Parno Mittrah, and others play the key characters.
