Watch U-Turn on OTTPlay.
Be it films or web series, actor Priyanshu Painyuli has managed to find his audience across platforms with successful projects like Mirzapur, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Upstarts, and Extraction.
Now that he has a new release coming up, the feature film U-Turn, and two other much-awaited projects in the pipeline, the actor opens up about how the constant hustle and multiple releases keep him sane. And why the opposite makes him anxious.
Priyanshu told OTTplay, "I think it is better to have multiple projects in hand when a film is releasing, because it keeps your mind occupied. You know, I was shooting constantly post-pandemic, but everything was in post-production, and I was actually feeling a little restless. Thankfully, things are now in place, and I believe that throughout 2023, all my projects will be released, starting with U-Turn. I am excited and nervous at the same time because I gave them my all. Each story is different. I want the audience to appreciate me in each genre and character. I have taken the risk of experimenting, so I hope I get all the love from audiences."
The actor also plays a pivotal role in the Ishaan Khattar-Mrunal Thakur-starrer Pippa, which is based on the India-Pakistan war of 1971. He is also a part of Vishal Bhardwaj's web series Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley, which also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Lara Dutta, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Paoli Dam.
U-Turn is produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Arif Khan, it also stars Alaya F, Rajesh Sharma, Manu Rishi Chadha, Shreedhar Dubey, Apoorva Suman, and Tariq Mir. It will be available to stream on OTTplay and ZEE5 starting April 28.
