Bollywood heartthrob Harshavarshan Rane may be an outdoorsy adventurous lad, but, at heart, he’s a softie. In an exclusive chat with us, he shared how his sister has helped shape up his life.
For anyone celebrating Raksha Bandhan today, you already know the importance of this festival—celebrate siblings, especially the bond between a brother and his sister.
So, at a store launch event in New Delhi — where Harshvardhan Rane was the Guest of Honour—when we asked the Haseen Dilruba (Netflix, 2021) actor about his emotional social media post for his sister on Raksha Bandhan, he blushed and said, “Thank God I am not the only crazy one in my family.”
Upon further investigation, Harsh, as he is lovingly called, told us that his sister has added value and meaning to his life and everything else that he has been seeking so far.
“I ran away from my house when I was 16 years old, and I spent a lot of time questioning. As in, why this or why that. And my sister was the answer for a lot of things in my head,” shared Harsh.
According to the actor, who is gearing up for his theatrical release Tara Vs Bilal that has been produced by John Abraham, siblings tell you things as they are and they are a reflection of you in a different body.
“I think siblings validate you in a sweet way and tell you why you are the way you are. They are exactly like you. And when I started seeing her doing the same things as I do—like going off to the jungle or camping—when I see her doing the exact same thing, tab mujhe bada acha lagta hai (then I feel very good). Thank God, I am not the only crazy one in my family. Our parents have made us both this way. She plays a huge part in the way I am,” he signed off.
Harshavarshan Rane was also seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s Zee5 web series Taish alongside Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Jim Sarbh, Zoa Morani and Saurabh Sachdeva.
