Exclusive - Harleen Sethi: People told me I wasn’t a vulnerable face when I was modelling

Harleen Sethi has become the face of web series thanks to her role in Broken But Beautiful and Broken But Beautiful 2, opposite Vikrant Massey. The actress became recognized as the girl-next-door with the show.

However, not Harleen has taken up completely contrasting roles. She is seen in the role of an officer in both The Gone Game 2 as well as The Test Case 2.

Despite that, the actress does not feel that she is trying to consciously break out of her image. She told OTTplay exclusively, “To be honest, I didn’t consciously think about breaking an image. Broken also came to me surprisingly. When I was modelling, people told me I wasn’t a vulnerable face. When I got that show, I had something to prove so I wanted to play that part and be convincing in it.”

Harleen loved her character in The Gone Game 2 since it has a powerful impact on everybody around her. She wanted to challenge herself as an actor, which is what motivated her to take up the role.

“It’s more about how you can grow, rather than breaking an image. With every new character and role, you challenge your own self and learn so much. When I was doing the background work for my character here, I learnt so many things. I just saw this as a challenging part to take up as an actor,” she added.

While The Gone Game 2 has gone on floors, there is no update on when The Test Case 2 will begin shooting. The show was scheduled to commence in 2020 but could not owing to the COVID-19 lockdown.
