This is the seventh season of Eken Babu. Besides, there are two films. Isn’t he tired of playing Eken Babu? “Absolutely not. Even this time, I got as excited as I was on the first day of Eken Babu years ago. Moreover, I see my audience getting excited with each season. As long as I see they are excited, I will not get bored. Besides, each Eken series takes me to different places. I enjoy that. However, one day this will come to an end. Maybe there will be no more stories left. Or the audience may stop liking it. I may even stop enjoying my character. That’s far away. As of now, I am super excited,” he said.
Anirban bagged the Best Actor in a Comic Role – Series in this year’s OTTplay Awards in Mumbai this year for playing Eken Babu in Season Six. A joyous actor said, “I have always focused on my work. I am not a party person. I don’t have a manager. My PR skills are godforsaken. Basically, I don’t have anyone to work for me. Hence, whatever recognition I got, I believe, I got them for my work. The OTTplay Award was extra special because it was a national recognition. Winning out of a talented set of people across the country is surely very inspiring. I am touched and honoured.”
