Exclusive! Bigg Boss Tamil fame Balaji Murugadoss' first film as a lead is a courtroom drama

Yuvan Shankar Raja and R Velraj have been brought on board to compose music and crank the camera respectively

Model turned actor Balaji Murugadoss, who shot to fame with the fourth season of Bigg Boss Tamil has been roped in to play the lead in an upcoming project to be produced by Ravindran of Libra Productions. He took to Twitter to announce the same and posted a picture along with Ravindran. He tweeted, "Expect the unexpected. Signed my First movie as lead under @LIBRAProduc #BalajiMurugaDoss."

The Twitter handle of the production company expressed happiness on teaming up with the actor and said that the untitled movie will feature strong crew members. Their tweet read, "Happy and glad to announce @OfficialBalaji balaji murugados casted as lead in our next project. Strong technical cast and crew details reveling soon. Balaji will entertainment once again in his style but with full of love. My wishes brother (sic)." Fans of Balaji displayed their love for him in the comment section.

Talking to OTTplay, Balaji says that he was on the lookout for a perfect launch and that he has pinned high hopes on the project. Divulging more details on the movie, he says, "The film is a courtroom drama and will be completely shot in Chennai. Yuvan Shankar Raja and R Velraj have been brought on board to compose music and crank the camera respectively. An official announcement on the cast and crew will be made soon."

According to Balaji, the film which is likely to go on floors in a month's time, will be completed in a single schedule. He also adds that a good number of sequences will be shot indoors. The actor, who emerged as the first runner up in Bigg Boss Tamil was earlier seen in Karoline Kamakshi, which is streaming on Zee5.
