Exclusive! Arunoday Singh: I’m not Akshay Kumar or Aamir Khan that people keep me updated about my projects

Arunoday Singh says that he is often not updated about his own projects and thus, he does not know what will release next from his line-up of projects and even if they will release.

Arunoday Singh, whose show Apharan 2 is currently streaming on Voot, has no clue about his upcoming projects, when they will release or even be announced. The actor said that he isn’t (a producer like) Akshay Kumar or Aamir Khan so that the people involved in the project keep him updated about the announcement or release date. Arunoday even hesitated to talk about his upcoming projects, except for Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2, the announcement of which is already out in the open.

When we asked the actor about his upcoming projects, he said, “Hopefully, we’ll get to make Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2. Hopefully, I have a decent amount of work to do in that. Then there’s a couple of other things but they’re still coming together and being finished.”

Arunoday refused to reveal anything before the makers. “Until they get announced, I don’t think it’s my responsibility to say anything. It would be irresponsible if I said something first. Hopefully things will come out and I’ll get more work and life will continue like lovely,” he said.

When we probed him further on when does Arunoday expect his projects to be announced, he said, “That an actor never knows. Who knows? It’s the producers, directors, marketing. We’re very small cogs in the machine. All that happens without us. I’m not Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan, so nobody’s telling me.”

The actor comes back with the second season after four long years. Apharan season 1 (streaming on AltBalaji and MX Player) released in 2018.

Meanwhile, Arunoday did appear on OTT since 2018. He was seen in Vicky Kaushal’s Love Per Square Foot in the same year as Apharan’s release. The actor has been delivering at least one web series (almost) every year since 2018. He was seen in The Chargsheet: Innocent Or Guilty?, which released in 2019, followed by the 2020 film Lahore Confidential and now, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and Apharan 2 in 2022.
