The OTT platform celebrates its sixth anniversary as Tolly celebs are spotted letting their hair down.
It was nothing short of a galaxy when Tollywood stars gathered to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Bengali OTT platform Hoichoi on September 20. From filmmaker Aparna Sen to Raj Chakraborty, Paoli, Subhashree Ganguly, and several others were seen letting their hair down at the do. The evening started with an announcement of 25 new shows for the upcoming year. As per the slate, Raj and Arindam Sil too will be creating two web series, DM Mallika and Troilokyo for Hoichoi for the first time.
Cast and crew members of each show talked about their respective web series. Srijit Mukherji, Dhrubo Banerjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Sahana Dutta, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Ashfaque Nipun, and others will continue to direct the web series. Subhashree Ganguly, who will debut in Debaloy Bhattacharya's Indubala Bhater Hotel, was spotted in an offwhite and gold sari in Benarasi work.
The party started after the announcement. After the critical success of Karagar Season One, Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury was evidently the man of the moment at the party. He was flocked with his fans and was flooded with congratulatory notes and selfie requests. He was spotted hanging out with Ritwick Chakraborty, Anirban Chakrabarti, and others. Talking about working in Indian films, he said, “I have received a lot of appreciation here. Now whatever project I undertake, it has to match the expectation that is built. As soon as I get a project like that I am sure I will be in.”
Dev, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Kacher Manush, walked into the party and stayed for a bit. Along with Raj, Nispal Singh, and Srikant Mohta, he clocked some photos before leaving. His co-star of Kacher Manush, Prosenjit Chatterjee entered early. While extending his vote of thanks, he said, “My connection with Srikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni goes a long way. It is amazing to see how Hoichoi is constantly creating content.” He also wished the team all the best.
