Now, after 17 years of Anuranan, Aniruddha is bringing back the nostalgia of the film. He took to his social media and hinted at a sequel. When we contacted the filmmaker, he said, “There are films that leave a lasting impact in your mind. Anuranan, for me, is that. It invokes memories of the time we spent while shooting. Making a sequel is in my thoughts. A lot of people keep asking me about Anuranan on social media. There is a story in my mind. I surely want to make a film with Rituparna Sengupta, Raima Sen, and Rahul Bose.”
Soon after the director posted his intent to make a sequel on social media, his comrades, including Srijit Mukherji, encouraged him to make one. He assured them that he started the process. We will have to wait to see when the film may start.
