Directed by Abhirup Ghosh, Abhishek Singh will be seen as the connection of the three stories
After their critically appreciated web series Byadh on Hoichoi, director Abhirup Ghosh has joined hands with Anirban Chakrabarti once again for a horror web series. Based on the three literary works by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Parashuram, and Gajendra Kumar Mitra, the series will also feature Kinjal Nanda and Tnusree Chakraborty. Abhishek Singh will be seen as Tnusree’s husband and the narrator of the three stories.
As per sources, it will be an anthology. The shooting of the series took place in September. Currently, the post-production work is in full swing. While it is made as a web series the makers refused to divulge details about the platform. While talking exclusively with OTTplay, Abhirup said, “We are yet to decide on the platform. We are currently busy editing the show. I can confirm that it will be a web show.”
Meanwhile, Tnusree has been busy with her Bollywood work. Kinjal’s next web series, The Bengal Scam, will be dropped soon. Along with him, popular television actress Sonamoni Saha will be debuting in the digital space. On the other hand, Anirban has completed the shooting of the sixth season of Eken Babu and is preparing for the second film of the franchise. By the beginning of next year, Anirban will travel to Kashmir to shoot the second season of Srijit Mukherji’s Feludar Goyendagiri for Hoichoi. He will be seen as Jatayu in the new season which is based on Satyajit Ray’s Bhuswargo Bhoyonkor.
Abhirup is known to deal with dark horror and thriller content. Besides Byadh, he directed Rahasya Romancha, Zombiestan, and Brahmadaitya. According to sources, he is working on a film script. The new project will be a theatrical release. He is penning the script.
