Amit Sial, Anshumaan Pushkar starrer Kathmandu Connection 2 releases on December 23
Amit Sial is all set to come back as DCP Samarth Kaushik in the new season of the web series Katmandu Connection.
One can see from the trailer that this time, the story is set in 1999 and the show promises many intriguing moments, thrills and actions.
In a special conversation with OTTplay, Amit reveals what the audience should expect from his character in the show.
Amit said, "As the story takes a time jump, and is starting after five years, with a new case and new investigation, every character is starting from where they were five years ago. Everyone is living in different phases of their lives. When it comes to Samarth, he is in a secluded space in his life emotionally. His family has left him, as well as the police force, where he gave everything and yet got suspended."
"But his obsession with solving issues and conspiracies, national security issues, etc. keeps him motivated and that brings him to the present situation. I cannot really talk much more than this about my character because i might just give away a spoiler," added the actor, who is known for delivering fine performances in shows like Jamtara - Sabka Number Aayega, Maharani and Inside Edge.
The new season of Kathmandu Connection shows how journalist Shivani, played by Aksha Pardasany, is working on the IC-814 hijack story for a London-based media house. She chances upon a secret document and gets to know about a national security threat for India. As she tries to decode the possible conspiracy, she finds a connection it has with Kathmandu. What happens next sets the story of the show.
The show is written by Siddharth Mishra, directed by Sachin Pathak, and produced by Ajay G Rai. Kathmandu Connection also stars Gopal Datt, Anshumaan Pushkar, Aksha Pardasany, Prashant Narayanan, Harleen Sethi and Anuraag Arora, among others. It is releasing on December 23 on SonyLIV.
