Producer KP Sreekanth was pleasantly surprised when the guest joining him and Sudeep on their dinner in Bengaluru was Shikhar Dhawan

Kannada star Kiccha Sudeepa recently met with cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, and the two had a "splendid and perfect night" together. The actor, who's last outing was the pan-Indian film Vikrant Rona, which also featured Jacquelin Fernandez in the popular Ra Ra Rakkamma song, hosted the Team India cricketer at a dinner in Bengaluru on Sunday night.
Speaking exclusively to OTTplay about the meeting, producer KP Sreekanth, said that meeting Dhawan was a pleasant surprise for him. “Sudeep and I had planned to meet for dinner to discuss the KCC (Kannada Chalanachitra Cup). All that Sudeep had told me was that someone dear to him was going to join us for dinner. When I asked him who that is, he told me that it was a surprise. And I was truly surprised when I saw that the person joining us for dinner was cricketer Shikhar Dhawan,” said Sreekanth.
Sudeep called the evening spent with Dhawan as “splendid and perfect”, and wished his “brotherman” for the forthcoming IPL season.
So, what was the dinner table conversation all about? Cricket and films, of course! “We spoke about cinema and cricket, and about how well South Indian films have been doing in the recent past. The conversation revolved around RRR, KGF, Kantara and, of course, Vikrant Rona. Shikhar (who featured in the Sonkashi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s 2022 film Double XL) said that acting is tough, while Sudeep and I told him that we think that cricket is hard!” added Sreekanth with a chuckle, who feels that Dhawan is a gentle and down-to-earth person.
Sudeep is currently busy with the third edition of the KCC (Kannada Chalanachitra Cup), which will be held in Mysuru on February 11 and 12. Apart from the Vikrant Rona star, the KCC will also have Kannada actors Dhananjaya, Ganesh and Shivarajkumar headlining it, along with several former international cricketers.
