The show, to be released under the aha kids segment, is produced by Green Gold Animation,
Telugu OTT platform aha is testing new waters with the launch of its first animated original titled Maha Ganesha on September 10 (Vinayaka Chavithi). While the platform had launched the aha Kids segment amid much fanfare last year, not much progress was made with the acquisition of original content, be it shows or films, later. Maha Ganesha, which marks the entry of the platform in the animation space, is directed by Rajiv Chilaka, the brain behind the famous Hyderabad-based animation startup Green Gold Animation Pvt. Ltd. The show comprises 8 episodes, with each episode lasting nearly 15 minutes.
The platform kickstarted the publicity campaign leading to the launch of the show across their social media handles, highlighting the importance of knowing our values and traditions with a hashtag that reads 'Mana Kathalu, Mana Viluvalu'. Earlier today, aha came up with a unique promotional strategy to introduce Maha Ganesha and the elephant-headed God to audiences with a tweet, "Chhota Bheem inka Chutki "aha kids prapancham" loki oka kottha vyakthi ni ahvaninchabotunnaru! Adi evaro August 24 na telustundi." (Chhota Bheem and Chutki will be introducing a new character to the aha kids universe. You'll know him on August 24)
aha will unveil the first poster and a song of Maha Ganesha in the press conference to be held in Hyderabad on August 24. The event will be held in the presence of the teams of the platform and the animation studio. Green Gold Animation is a reputed brand in the animation space and this collaboration should mean well for aha, which is likely to open upto a wider audience vase. aha's recent release was Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, a teenage romance that's an official remake of TVF's hit show FLAMES. Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, directed by Mallik Ram, stars Harshith Reddy, Payal Radhakrishna and Nikhil Devadula in lead roles.
