The movie, helmed by Sudheesh Sankar, has the Pushpa actor playing the role of an off-road driving enthusiast
Seems like technicians across the country are making exceptions when it comes to working in a Fahadh Faasil film. After AR Rahman made his Mollywood comeback following a 30-year gap with Malayankunju, the next music director to collaborate on Fahadh’s upcoming movie is Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The ace composer will reportedly be making his Malayalam debut with the film titled Hanuman Gear, which is directed by Sudheesh Sankar and is touted to be a realistic thriller.
In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, the film’s director Sudheesh confirmed that Yuvan Shankar Raja has indeed been roped in as part of the movie. Hanuman Gear revolves around a young off-road jeep driver, who faces insurmountable odds at a point in his life and how levels up to take on the challenge.
Sudheesh, who had previously directed Dileep’s Villaali Veeran, is also scripting the venture that is expected to go on floors by the end of this year as soon as Fahadh completes his pending other-language films including Maamannan, which also has Udayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh and Vadivelu as part of the cast.
Off late, several music directors from Tamil have been roped in for big Malayalam movies. Santosh Narayanan recently composed the background score for Siju Wilson’s Pathonpathaam Noottaandu and is also set to work on Tovino Thomas’ Anveshippin Kandethum. Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana music director Midhun Mukundan is composing the tunes for Mammootty’s Rorschach, while Anirudh Ravichander has been rumoured to join the team of Dileep’s superhero film Parakkum Pappan.
Sam CS, who is responsible for the tunes for Vikram Vedha, has signed his next Malayalam projects with RDX and Dileep-Tamannaah starrer that will be helmed by Arun Gopy. Meanwhile, AR Rahman is also composing for Blessy’s Aadujeevitham that has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.
