The hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, popular by the stage name “Diddy” is facing serious rape and physical abuse allegations in a lawsuit filed on Thursday by his former lover and singer Cassie.

In a disturbing turn of events, the music producer is allegedly accused of a decade-long abuse in the legal charges filed by ex-partner and R&B singer. According to Cassie, the accused ensured a pattern of “control” and “abuse” throughout their nearly 10 years of relationship, including rape and sex-trafficking

Casandra Ventura or Cassie filed a lawsuit in the Federal District Court in Manhattan on Thursday to end the silence and darkness of her life by speaking up against the violence and abuse in the troubled relationship. She also allegedly accused the Bad Boys music executive of manipulating her into a lifestyle of alcohol and substance abuse.

Recalling her first meeting with Diddy in 2005 when she was just 19 years old, Cassie mentioned in the statement about the constant abuse through beating and controlling behavior. The accused also forced the young singer to have sex with male prostitutes and then filmed the event.

The singer-songwriter also claimed to be a victim of physical abuse and forced sex.

Remembering the dark time in 2018, near the end of their violent, romantic relationship, “Mr. Combs forced his way into her home and raped her,” said the lawsuit.

“After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” read the statement obtained by the New York Times.

In retaliation, the defense lawyer of Combs, Ben Brafman denied all the allegations and said, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday”.

Diddy’s hip-hop label founded its footing in the early 1990s with Bad Boy. The music star, years later lured the young singer by professionally signing a contract deal and then manipulating with the latter both physically and emotionally.
