Evanda Enakku Custody: Vikram's presence and Santhosh Narayanan's retro music stand out in this song

Vikram in Mahaan

Vikram-starrer Mahaan, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is releasing on Amazon Prime Video on February 10. The team had unveiled character poster of Simha recently. Now, they have come up with the second single from the movie which has Dhruv, Simran, Sananth and Vani Bhojan, too, essaying crucial roles in it.

The lyric video, titled Evanda Enakku Custody, has been crooned and composed by Santhosh Narayanan while Vivek has penned its lyrics. The four-minute fast-paced track which has retro music has Vikram and others shaking a leg in it. Going by the setting and costumes of the artists in the video, it looks like the 90s where a bunch of gangsters are having a gala time.

Vikram plays a gangster who later regrets not spending enough time with his son. The ambience in the video song reminds of the clubs which were popular in the 90s. The lyric video also has a few BTS moments featuring director Karthik, Vikram and others interacting during the break time.

The funny lyrics, which has some popular North Chennai slang and its composition reminds of Enna Vena Nadakattum song from Karthik's previous outing Jagame Thandhiram, which had its protagonist Dhanush lending voice for it. Evanda Enakku Custody is completely different from Soorayattam, the first single of Mahaan, which had contrasting usage of musical instruments by Santhosh and team.

Produced by SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, Mahaan has cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna and editing by Vivek Harshan. M Sherif and Dinesh Subbarayan have choreographed dance moves and action sequences respectively for the film.

With less than a couple of weeks left for the movie's release, fans of Vikram are eagerly waiting for its teaser, trailer and remaining songs to be unveiled.
