The 33rd film of Arun Vijay, Yaanai has a powerful team of cast and crew ranging from its director Hari to an ensemble cast including Priya Bhavani Shankar, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Prakash Raj. According to an ETimes report, the ‘Mafia’ star’s upcoming film is all set to clash with Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan at the box office.

Backed by Drumstick Productions, the makers of Yaanai and director Hari are trying to bring out their upcoming project on February 4, next year, which also coincides with the Suriya starrer. Helmed by Pandiraj, Etharkkum Thunindhavan is backed by Sun Pictures and features ‘Doctor’ famed Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan also boasts of a star-studded cast that includes Vinay Rai, Sathyaraj, Soori, Rajkiran and Saranya Ponvanan, among others in pivotal roles. This also marks the second film of Priyanka Mohan and the ‘Unnale Unnale’ star after their previous outing, Doctor. The upcoming movie, touted to be a social drama, is expected to voice out against crime against women. It also marks the first theatrical release of Suriya in two years after Kaappaan.
