The film directed by P Suneel Kumar Reddy also features Rishwi Thimmaraju and Ajay in pivotal roles
#69 Sanskar Colony, helmed by filmmaker P Suneel Kumar Reddy (the director behind films like Gangaputrulu, Sontha Vooru and Oka Romantic Crime Katha) features Ester Noronha, Rishwi Thimmaraju and Ajay in key roles. The film bankrolled by B Bapiraju, Muthiki Naga Satyanarayana under Lakshmi Pictures and Aditya Cinema is hitting theatres on March 18. Ahead of the film's release, the lead actress Ester interacted with the media and spoke of her experiences in being part of the project.
"I may be an actress today but my career had begun as a singer. My parents had an inclination towards music too and I gained good fame as a Konkani singer in my childhood. I've learnt Carnatic music as well though I never thought I would make it to films. I came to Mumbai for my education but noted choreographer Saroj Khan had noticed me in an event and asked if I would be interested to act. I gave it a shot, did three Hindi films and later entered Telugu cinema with Teja's 1000 Abaddhalu," she went back in time to look at her formative years.
The actress stated that she had been offered many films in the past but didn't find the offers exciting enough. "I liked the story of #69 Sanskar Colony a lot. I play a homemaker Vaishali in the film. What if she becomes overambitious and her lifestyle takes a different turn? That's the crux of the film. Everyone will relate to Vaishali's plight in the film, she's a strong character and is the fantasy of every youngster. I'm sure the film will connect with audiences," Ester added.
Ester is happy with the response to the promos and shared that she was flooded with calls, messages referring to her as Vaishali. She has also showcased her singing prowess in the film with a number Raa Raa and is overwhelmed with joy, given the positive comments that are coming her way. The actress has credited her co-stars Rishwi and Ajay for their impressive performances. "Rishwi was a little conscious about the intimate scenes in the film but we turned out to be good friends later. It was peaceful working with a filmmaker like Suneel Kumar Reddy too," she said.
Apart from #69 Sanskar Colony, Ester is looking forward to the release of Airavatham and is also working on a web show for ZEE5. She is simultaneously shooting for a trilingual film titled Rudra.
