Actress Esha Deol is gearing up for the release of her thriller web series, Hunter - Tootega Nahi, Todega. And she says that after looking for an opportunity for a second inning in her career, she finally got it with this series.
Esha made her acting debut in 2002 with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. She went on to star in successful films like Yuva, Dhoom, Kaal, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Dus, and No Entry.
During the trailer launch of the web series, Esha told the media, "I see this web series as the second innings of my career, because I have been a part of the film industry since the year 2000. I then went on to start a family, so today, when I get work, it is an amazing feeling; to get good work is even better! I am choosing projects wisely and making sure that no matter what roles I have, it packs a punch -- physically or emotionally."
The actress also extended her gratitude to Suniel Shetty, the protagonist of Hunter - Tootega Nahi, Todega, by saying, "I would like to thank the makers (of the show) and especially Suniel anna, for working with me again. We have worked together in the past and he has seen me as a restless, immature youngster. But now, I am a toned-down Esha Deol, if not on-camera, off-camera for sure. There is a section of fans who have been supporting me constantly, and no matter what, they have our back. I really love them deeply."
The story of Hunter - Tootega Nahi, Todega revolves around a family man and a police officer ACP Vikrant, played by Suneil, who is in search of Leena Thomas, and how a journalist, Divya, joins hands with him to expose the dark side of the Mumbai crime world.
Directed by Alok Batra and Prince Dhiman, the show also stars Barkha Singh, Rahul Dev, Karanvir Sharma, Smita Jaykar, Pawan Chopra, Mir Sarwar, and Siddharth Kher.
It releases on Amazon miniTV on March 22.
