Enola Holmes 2: Henry Cavill confirms the shoot wrap

The sequel, helmed by Harry Bradbeer, will feature Milly Bobby Brown reprising her iconic role of Enola Holmes, while Cavill will be returning as Sherlock Holmes

Henry Cavill has confirmed in a new video that he has completed filming for the Netflix upcoming sequel Enola Holmes 2. Featuring Stranger Things’ Milly Bobby Brown in the titular role, the prequel was a hit and acquired a separate fan base of its own.

Enola Holmes follows the titular character in her adventurous journey to find her missing mother. The sequel was confirmed in May, with many of the cast members returning. Cavill was one such beloved cast, who is best known for The Witcher.

The movie is centred on the idea that the popular fictional detective Sherlock Holmes has a sister, who is equally intelligent as him. Cavill took the shoes of Holmes in the movie, who was a very supporting player and acknowledged his younger sister’s bravery.

The actor recently took to his Instagram to announce the shoot wrap and addressed his followers while taking a stroll at night after completing a run. He then encouraged his fans to also try running and said he decided to go for a run despite not being up for it.

It is not clear how Cavill's character will be in the sequel, or what will be the storyline. However, fans are eager to see Sherlock and Enola teaming up properly. They also expect to see some classic Sherlock Holmes iconography in the movie.

Besides Milly and Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter will also be reprising the role of Enola’s mom and Chewing Gum’s Susan Wokoma will be returning as Enola’s jiu-jitsu teacher Edith.

The release date of Enola Holmes 2 is yet to be announced.
