Emraan Hashmi gives clarity on Jannat 3? Says 'The makers have to...'
Jannat is one of the successful film franchises of Emraan Hashmi. The actor recently revealed if there's a possibility of the third installment being made.

Emraan Hashmi has delivered several successful movies in his career. The actor has also been a part of two hit film franchises: Murder and Jannat. Talking about the second franchise, it kicked off in 2008 with Emraan and Sonal Chauhan. Following Jannat's success, the film's sequel was released in 2012, starring Hashmi and Esha Gupta. Almost twelve years down the line, Emraan, recently seen in Ae Watan Mere Watan, revealed if there's a possibility of Jannat 3 being made.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Emraan Hashmi said he would love to do Jannat 3. The actor said it could be "old wine in a new bottle". He further mentioned that it is up to the makers of the Jannat franchise to make it happen.
"The makers (Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt) have to come together again to make it happen, which I unfortunately don’t see happening. It’s a team, right?" he said. Emraan added that the third installment happens if some miracle takes place.

In the meantime, the actor will continue to act, which he loves doing the most. The Ae Watan Mere Watan actor stated that he has a couple of projects to be announced, including solo films, which are kind of the streak that audiences have loved to see him in—the bad boy image.
Emraan Hashmi's projects in 2024
Emraan Hashmi recently made a special appearance in Ae Watan Mere Watan, featuring Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. The film is based on the life of Usha Mehta, who fought for India's freedom through her underground radio station. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the movie dropped on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, 2024.
Before Ae Watan Mere Watan's release, Emraan was seen in the web series Showtime. He starred alongside Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Mahima Makwana, among others, in the web show. It premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Emraan's upcoming project is Ground Zero, which will be directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. The film also stars Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain.
