Emmy Awards 2024 – Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jeremy Allen White of The Bear take home Outstanding Supporting Actor and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series

The Emmy Awards 2024 are finally here and fans of The Bear will rejoice as the show bagged multiple awards this year, including both Outstanding Supporting Actor and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

It is that time of the year, after several delays, when the Emmy Awards take place in the Peacock Theatre and are telecast live to adoring, eager viewers all over the world. This year, the Outstanding Supporting Actor and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series awards were bagged by The Bear, which also won the Outstanding Writing, Directing, and Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach won Outstanding Lead Actor and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively. With both actors hailing from The Bear, their victories took their show’s victory tally to six at the ceremony itself.

Dressed in a dashing white blazer and shirt, Jeremy Allen White looked dapper as he thanked his "beautiful cast and crew" as well as his mother and father. He thanked the show for sparking a fire within him that rages on. He also made a special show of gratitude for the people who have stayed close to him in the recent past, despite his busy schedule, as they have helped him believe in himself.

Jeremy Allen White's claim to the award of Lead Actor was contested by Bill Hader (Barry), Jason Segel (Shrinking), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building), and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso). Though the competition was tough, the right call was made, and an ecstatic White made his way down the stage to receive the award.

For Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Ebon Moss-Bachrach made it to the stage following a raunchy but elegantly executed ‘bra joke’ that compared supporting actors to feminine lingerie, subtle but always reliable, with a great amount of support. The actor thanked his entire The Bear team and honestly admitted that it was ‘such a privilege’ to work with such amazing actors.
