The investigation into the Elvish Yadav assault case are ongoing.
In an unexpected turn of events on Friday evening, the Gurugram police booked Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 winner Elvish Yadav for allegedly assaulting YouTuber Sagar Thakur (aka Maxtern). Numerous celebrities have condemned the conduct of Elvish and his team towards Sagar. Manisha Rani, who recently won the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, unfollowed Elvish on Instagram. Dhruv Rathee, another famous YouTuber, condemned the conduct of Elvish as well. This is a huge development, considering the popularity of these social media influencers. As per the latest update, Gurugram police have come out with a statement on the pressing matter.
Regarding the FIR filed against YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, ACP Sadar, Kapil Ahlawat, stated today that Sagar Thakur, another YouTuber, lodged a written complaint alleging assault by Elvish Yadav. Consequently, a case has been registered against 8-10 individuals, including Elvish Yadav.
“Sagar Thakur gave a written complaint to us stating that Elvish Yadav assaulted him. During a conversation with the police, Sagar expressed that he and Elvish fought over an issue on social media. The matter escalated. Sagar then presented video footage of the incident. A case has been registered against 8-10 people, including Elvish Yadav. Investigation into the case is underway,” said Ahlawat.
In the video circulating online, Elvish and his group of men can be seen entering a room where Sagar was present. As soon as Sagar got up to greet Elvish, the latter punched the former in the face. The group of men, seconds later, started beating up Sagar. Sagar pleaded for help, but his efforts went in vain. The accuracy of the video cannot be established by us, and the police is investigating the incident.
However, this is not the first time Elvish has been embroiled in a police case. Elvish’s name is present in an FIR registered by Noida Police last year. This is because Elvish was allegedly present at an illegal rave party involving snake venom on November 3, 2023. As of date, an investigation in both cases is underway.
