Elvish Yadav summoned by Noida police in snake venom case

The Noida police has issued a notice to Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. He has to appear before the cops in the snake venom case. According to a report on ANI, he has been named an accused in the case which has been transferred from Noida's Sector 49 police station to Sector 20 police station. The case was the directive of the Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Lakshmi Singh.

FIR filed against Elvish

An FIR is filed against six individuals, which includes Elvish Yadav. DCP Noida Harish Chander said, "On November 3, in 49 police station, a case was registered under Wild Life Conservation Act in which 5 people were arrested with the help of the forest department and an NGO. They were sent to the Judicial Custody. It was later transferred to 20 police station and the case is being investigated... We have applied for police custody of the 5 accused. A notice has been issued for one another accused (Elvish Yadav) for taking his statement..."

What Elvish said in the matter

Elvish had said that he’s ready to surrender if found guilty in the matter. Maneka Gandhi's NGO (People for Animals) had filed this case. Elvish addressed her as ‘that lady’ and said, “That lady was saying that I roam around with snakes around my neck.” He clarified it was for a song shoot. “If I have even one percent involvement in this case, I will surrender myself, whether the punishment is 10 years or 100 years,” he had added.

What Haryana CM said

On Sunday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar clarified that he has no hold on the case. If Elvish is proven guilty, the police will take appropriate action. It is to be noted that the CM had honoured Elvish after his Bigg Boss OTT 2 win.
