After Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s long note in solidarity with the Iranian women who are protesting against the Iranian Morality Police after the death of young Mahsa Amini, Elnaaz Norouzi came in support of the protesting women. In an Instagram video, she stripped naked. The video was later taken down from social media. In her post, the actress mentioned that she is ‘not promoting nudity but promoting freedom of choice’.

The video that has been removed later was captioned, “Every Woman, anywhere in the world, regardless of where she is from, should have the right to wear whatever she desires and when or wherever she desires to wear it. No man nor any other woman has the right to judge her or ask her to dress otherwise. Everyone has different views and beliefs and they have to be respected."

"Democracy means the power to decide… Every Woman should have the power to decide over her own body! (muscles and collision emojis). I am not promoting nudity, I am promoting freedom of choice!" She also added the hashtags--Mahsa Amini, women, free Iran, women supporting women, women empowerment, freedom, freedom of choice, freedom of speech, women, and my body my choice.”

Elnaaz Norouzi, who is currently working in India but is Iranian by nationality, has been voicing her concern over the death of 22-year-old Iranian woman Mahsa Amini. The woman was arrested by the Guidance Patrol, the religious morality police of Iran's government, for wearing her hijab improperly. Later, she died in a hospital in Tehran. Eyewitnesses said Mahsa Amini was severely beaten. Iranian women took to the street to protest against the morality police. Their protest snowballed as women from other countries joined in.
