Nani's Hindi adaptation of Jersey (also titled Jersey) will release in theatres on April 14.
The makers of Shahid Kapoor’s next film Jersey have unveiled when they would release the trailer of his film. They did so through a new poster that gives a little more glimpse into the life of the lead character, Arjun Talwar (Shahid). This time, we get to see Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi on the poster too.
Mrunal plays Shahid’s love interest in the film. She is seen in the role of his wife, Vidya Talwar. The viewers get a glimpse of their cute romance through the new poster.

Meanwhile, Shahid is collaborating with his real-life father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapur once again in Jersey. The poster also shows a glimpse of Pankaj, but in a solo scene. He plays the role of Madhav Sharma in the film.
The makers have revealed that the trailer of Jersey (the Hindi adaptation) will be unveiled on Monday, April 4. The movie will release in theatres 10 days after that i.e. on April 14.
Jersey is the Hindi adaptation of Nani’s Telugu movie of the same name. Allu Aravind has come on board for this movie as well.
Gowtam Tinnauri, who had helmed Nani’s 2019 film, has directed the Shahid starrer too. The original film saw Arjun returning to cricket in his late 30s to win the Indian jersey as a gift for his son.
While Jersey might have been a new concept in 2019, the viewers got to see something similar in Shreyas Talpade’s Kaun Pravin Tambe? which released on Disney+Hotstar recently. The movie talks about Pravin Tambe, a real-life Indian cricket team player who started playing cricket in his late 30s and became instantly likeable.
It is to be seen whether Jersey can bring in a new aspect that the audiences would love to watch. Nonetheless, Shahid’s fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the movie which will see him back in action after Kabir Singh (2019).
There is currently no update on when or where Jersey would release on OTT. It was previously reported that the movie would have a direct-to-OTT release after its delay due to COVID-19 but of course, the reports were all false and the movie is now coming to cinemas soon.
