Dwayne Johnson's who will be seen in Netflix film Red Notice with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds soon, recently spoke about the Vin Diesel jokes that feature in the film.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the former WWE wrestler turned actor acknowledged that these jokes work really well among the audience. "It’s interesting, these Vin Diesel jokes — which play great, by the way, to the audience, which is always a good thing, because it’s really all about them — but people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t.”

Johnson added that there are plenty of people approaching him with a Vin Diesel joke, according to IndieWire.

Johnson's feud with Diesel began in 2016 during the production of The Fate of the Furious that resulted in the Jumanji actor to dropp out of Fast and Furious 9. In an Instagram post, Johnson had referred to Diesel as "chicken shit" and "candy ass."

Johnson recently told Vanity Fair that the two had a "meeting of clarity" after which it was evident that both of them are on "two separate ends of the spectrum." He added that sharing that post online was a mistake, saying it "wasn't my best day."

Diesel had shared his side of the story in an interview with Men's Health where he said that this tension had enabled Johnson to give his best performance in the film.

Red Notice directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, is about an Interpol agent on a hunt to capture the world's most wanted art thief. This is the third collaboration between Johnson and Thurber after Central Intelligence (2016) and Skyscraper (2018).

The film is set to have a direct-to-digital release on November 12 on Netflix.
