Jiah Khan’s sister, Mandana Karimi, Saloni Chopra and Rachel White have also accused Sajid Khan of sexual harrassment.
The latest season of Bigg Boss has come under fire by a number of viewers due to one contestant in particular. The 16th season of Salman Khan’s popular reality show included filmmaker Sajid Khan as a contestant. Sajid has been accused of several sexual harrassment by a number of women in the wake of the #MeToo movement, and actress Sherlyn Chopra was one among them. The actress recently lashed out against the makers of Bigg Boss for including Sajid on the show.
In conversation with Filmibeat, Sherlyn narrated the distressing account of what Sajid did to her. She said "When I had visited Sajid at his house for a story narration, he had flashed his private part at me and asked me to rate it on a scale of 0 to 10”.
The actress went on to seek accountability from the makers of Bigg Boss, especially Salman. Sherlyn questioned whether Salman would have allowed Sajid to enter the show if the filmmaker had molested a woman who was close to the actor. She asked Salman to consider the pain and sorrow Sajid’s victims are going through and appealed to the actor to kick Sajid out of the Bigg Boss house. Asking Salman to take a stand against molesters, she said “What's the point in being a Bhaijaan just for name's sake?”.
Sherlyn expressed dismay at many harassers finding work in the industry. She alleged that while the ‘sinners’ are given a plethora of chances, the industry does not care about the future of the survivors and victims of abuse. She also added that a lot of celebrities seem to feel that it would be in their best interests to keep mum so as to not disturb the status quo. The actress said that it was high time that celebrities united as one to raise their voice against abusers.
