OTTplay has reported that Vikram Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee will take part in Arindam Bhattacharya’s next film. Now, the title of the film came to the fore. Based on serial killing and medical scams, the film, Durgapur Junction, will see Vikram as a cop and Swastika as a journalist.
The plot is based on a real-life incident in the US. However, the film will be set in the backdrop of Durgapur. The shooting will take place there.
Arindam’s gang-war film Shibpur is all set to release. Based on true events, the film features Swastika, Parambrata Chatterjee, and others. Shibpur progresses from the perspective of a political journalist associated with a leading daily in Kolkata. They found an interesting story about a woman who dominated the area for a long time but went missing in the late 90s and was never found. An IPS officer was appointed by the then CM to bring the law and order situation under control and played a vital role in bringing stability to the district after a lot of bloodsheds. The film delves into the disappearance of the woman. Did her rival groups kill her? Or was there a dark political play behind her disappearance? The film also features Mamata Shankar, Susmita Chatterjee, Rajatava Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee, and Sujan Mukhopadhyay.
