Duranga 2: Drashti Dhami kept body double but did her own action stunts

Duranga 2 was announced recently. The actors Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami, thus, are back in news. She recently spoke about working on the sequel to the Zee5 show. Drashti is especially seen in action this time around. The actress spilled an interesting detail with regards to that.

What she said

In an interview with India Forums, Drashti said that she did her own stunts. “We weren't sure if I would be able to do it, so we did keep a body double on standby, but eventually, I did all my shots on my own,” she shared.

Duranga 2 announcement

Duranga 2 was previously announced with a poster. The makers then released a teaser for the show. The small clip was revealed four days back. The show features Gulshan and Amit Sadh as the male leads. The show is helmed by Rohan Sippy and backed by Goldie Behl.

What was Duranga all about?

Duranga saw a case of copycat killing of a 17-year-old case. Thanks to that, a Mumbai crime branch officer is forced to re-open the spine-chilling case which had affected a small coastal town near Mumbai. It so happens that there was an accomplice involved with the case who was never caught. Ira Patel (Drashti) figures out that the criminal she is looking for could be the father of her child and the love of her life, Abhishek Banne (Gulshan), who identifies as Sammit Patel currently. The case takes an interesting turn this time as the real Sammit Patel (Amit), who has been in coma for a long time, finally wakes up.
