Dunki: Did Javed Akhtar just REVEAL an important secret about the Shah Rukh Khan starrer?

After the unprecedented success of his last film ‘Jawan’, all the eyes are now trained on Shah Rukh Khan’s most awaited upcoming film ‘Dunki’. There are many reasons that make the film extremely remarkable. One of the main highlights of the film remains the fact that, ever since the time the film was announced, it has been making news for many reasons. But, till date, nobody has been able to decipher the story plot of the film. Thanks to the film’s director Rajkumar Hirani and his razor-sharp strategies, every single detail about the film that needs to be kept concealed has been kept concealed! But, in a recent interview, the renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar seems to have given out an extremely important detail about the film.

In a recent interview with News18, lyricist Javed Akhtar spoke about (read ‘revealed’) that he has penned only one track in the film. The lyricist also added that the track (which he was referring to) appears towards the end of the film. Additionally, the said track also concludes the theme of the film. Javed Akhtar also added that, even though he had penned only one track in the film ‘Dunki’, the film’s director Rajkumar Hirani insisted that only he (Javed Akhtar) should pen the said track.

Lyricist Javed Akhtar also said that he had penned the song first and then, music composer Pritam had composed it, as unlike the usual practice of writing the song as per the tune. Javed Akhtar also added that musician Pritam had done a great job on the said track.

As for the film ‘Dunki’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, it stars Taapsee Pannu, who plays the leading lady in the film. Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, Dunki also stars Vicky Kaushal along with the veteran actor Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. The film is now all set to be released on December 22 this year. The film ‘Dunki’ also marks the first time collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan with director Rajkumar Hirani.
