Bheema marks Vijay's second film as a director, and the film promises to be another gritty, mainstream, crime actioner.
Duniya Vijay made a credible start to his career as a director in 2021 with Salaga. One might say that the film, which also starred Dhananjaya and Sanjana Anand, wasn't able to fully realize its box office potential due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, which caused multiple delays in the release. Salaga would eventually clash with Kiccha Sudeep's Kotigobba 3 at the box office and was appreciated by both critics and audiences alike.
Buoyed by the response he got, Vijay would announce his second directorial soon after and revealed its title to be Bheema. Speaking to OTTplay, he described the film as a gritty crime film that boasts several lesser-known artists as part of its cast, adding that the subject matter would appeal to the modern-day youth. With Charan Raj scoring the music and Vijay himself playing the main lead there is, indeed, lots to look forward to with respect to Bheema.
And according to the latest reports, Duniya Vijay & Co. are citing the upcoming Deepavali as the opportune moment for the theatrical release of Bheema. This year's Deepavali falls in the second week of November (12th to 14th) so if the same reports are to be believed, the film could release either on November 8th or 15th.
Not very long ago, a small video snippet of Charan Raj and Duniya Vijay working on the music of Bheema emerged on social media. With the duo having delivered a supremely successful soundtrack in the form of Salaga, one does keenly look forward to what they have in store this time around. Charan Raj, in his previous conversation with OTTplay, shared that Bheema's music will have a strong folk influence.

Along with Vijay, the cast of Bheema also includes debutant Ashwini, Black Dragon Manju, Gili Gili Chandru, Girija, Kalyani Raju and several others. The film is produced by the combination of Krishna Sarthak and Jagadeesh Gowda.
