The movie, produced by Swapna Cinema, will mark Dulquer Salmaan’s second Telugu film,
It took exactly a year for fans to get the first glimpse of Dulquer Salmaan’s character from his second Telugu movie, which is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The makers, who had first announced the film last year on Dulquer’s birthday, revealed a video of his character along with a photo from the movie today.
The film, which is a period love saga, set in 1964 has Dulquer playing Lieutenant Ram. The makers released a behind-the-scenes footage of Dulquer shooting for the film in Kashmir and it promises to be a visual treat. The film’s cinematography is by PS Vinod.
We see portions of him as a soldier walking through snow, playing football in the rain and standing atop a rock on the banks of a stream dressed in his full military attire. Hanu had earlier told TOI that though the film is primarily a love story, it has an army backdrop and will have action scenes as well.
The movie, which will be released in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil, reportedly also has Mrunal Thakur as part of the cast. The shoot of the movie is currently progressing. The makers also released a poster of Dulquer, wishing him on his birthday, in which he is seen holding a piece of paper sitting backwards on a bicycle.
This is also the second time Dulquer is associating with Swapna Cinema after Mahanati. The Malayalam star, meanwhile, has also finished work on choreographer-turned-filmmaker Brinda master’s directorial debut Hey Sinamika, Rosshan Andrrews’ Salute and Srinath Rajendran’s Kurup. He has also signed a Bollywood thriller, which is set to be directed by R Balki.
