Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha witnessed the biggest release yet for a Malayalam film

King of Kotha, which was released in theatres on August 24, is a much-hyped film by actor-filmmaker Dulquer Salmaan. The film, which has been receiving mostly positive responses from audiences, has an ensemble cast that includes actors from other film industries.
After the release of the film, Dulquer thanked Malayalam star Mohanlal for his voiceover in King of Kotha. He expressed his gratitude with a post on social media that read, "Thank You Laletta for your majestic voiceover in King of Kotha."
The action gangster drama begins with the voiceover of Mohanlal, who has also given voiceovers to films like Tiyaan, Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja, and Pathonpatham Nottandu.
It is worth noting that Dulquer did an impression of Mohanlal on stage during a pre-release event of King of Kotha in Kochi.
King of Kotha gets biggest release for a Malayalam film
King of Kotha has witnessed the biggest release yet for a Malayalam film. The film was released on over 2,500 screens after extensive promotions that were held in three major cities in the country. The pre-release events for the film were held in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi. Post-release, the film has been getting mixed reviews. It has been lauded for its production quality, background music, and performances.

King of Kotha's story and cast
Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, King of Kotha revolves around Raju, a gangster in the fictional town of Kotha. The film has two timelines and sees Dulquer in two different looks.
Apart from Dulquer, the film also stars Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shammi Thilakan, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, TG Ravi, Anikha Surendran, and Shabeer Kallarakkal.
It is co-produced by Dulquer and is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crore. Dulquer had earlier revealed that the climax of the film was reshot to enhance its grandiosity.
Scripted by Abhilash N Chandran, the cinematography of the film is by Nimish Ravi, who is known for films like Rorschach and Kurup. Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman have handled the music of King of Kotha.
King of Kotha is currently in theatres.
