Dulquer Salmaan is set to make a comeback to the big screens after a short break, with Lucky Baskhar. The popular actor also confirmed his next outing in Malayalam cinema, recently.
Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy promoting his highly anticipated film, Lucky Baskhar. The popular star is making a comeback to the theatres with a solo release after a short break. In a recent interview, the Kurup actor revealed that he had a break from films to focus on his health, as he had surgery a few months back. However, Dulquer Salmaan has now confirmed that he is indeed planning to be more active in films and dropped a major update on his next Malayalam projects.
In a recent chat with a leading Telugu media, Dulquer Salmaan revealed that his break from films was extended because a couple of projects didn’t materialize (Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life and Sudha Kongara’s Puranooru). But, the actor, who missed being a part of his home industry, Malayalam cinema, confirmed that he is in talks for two back-to-back projects. Dulquer’s revelation has left his fans, who have been missing his presence in the Malayalam film industry, highly excited.

As reported earlier, Dulquer Salmaan is making a comeback to Malayalam cinema with the upcoming project, directed by RDX fame filmmaker, Nahas Hidayath. The movie, which is touted to be an action-packed entertainer, is produced by the leading man himself, under his home banner Wayfarer Films. Some unconfirmed reports suggest that popular Tamil actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah appears as the lead antagonist in the film, which also stars Antony Varghese Pepe in a pivotal role. The untitled project is expected to go on floors, by the second week of November 2024.
Even though there are no official updates yet, the grapevine suggests that Dulquer Salmaan and actor-director Soubin Shahir are planning to revive their long-delayed project, Othiram Kadakam. The project, which is touted to be a fantasy-horror film, was originally announced in 2021. But it was later delayed indefinitely due to undisclosed technical reasons. However, it is now safe to assume that Dulquer will announce two Malayalam projects, in a few weeks.
