According to a report published on HT City today, “Singer Dua Lipa is expected to perform at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 closing ceremony before the final in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Indian cricket team will be taking on Australia in the finals for the trophy.”
Dua Lipa – who has over 88 million Instagram followers, has received numerous accolades throughout her career including six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards, and two Guinness World Records. Some of her singles namely "Physical", "Break My Heart", and "Levitating" continue to trend on social media even today.
India Vs Australia at ICC World Cup 2023
Australia secured a spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final after defeating South Africa by three wickets in the second semifinal at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday. India, set to face Australia in the final, last met them in a World Cup final in 2003, where Australia emerged victorious by 125 runs, claiming their third World Cup trophy. The following edition in 2007 also saw Australia as the champions.
India, eyeing its third World Cup title, will strive for glory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, having previously clinched the title in 2011 against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
