Drushyam 2 teaser: Telugu remake of the mystery thriller starring Venkatesh Daggubati

Helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the crime drama also features Meena, Kruthika, and Esther Anil alongside Sampath Raj and Poorna

The global premiere of the highly-awaited Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Drushyam 2 has been announced by the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. The Telugu thriller will be out on the platform this month across 240 countries and territories.

Helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the movie is a sequel to the hit Telugu thriller Drushyam which is the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam from the same director’s kitty. The movie is all about the life of Rambabu (Venkatesh) and his attempts to save his family after an unfortunate incident. The gripping tale has managed to win everyone’s heart with its unusual way of storytelling and nail-biting thriller elements. The crime drama also features Meena, Kruthika, and Esther Anil alongside Sampath Raj and Poorna.

The exciting sequel is gearing up for its release after six years of the first instalment. The movie is expected to continue the tale from where the prequel had marked a full stop. The Malayalam sequel has already been out and turned into an instant hit, which adds more colours to the wait for the Telugu language thriller.

The news is announced by Prime Video with an exciting teaser, which gives a sneak peek at the mysterious storyline that seems to be the continuation of the prequel. It features Venkatesh, Meena, Tanikella Bharani, Nadhiya, Naresh, Sampath Raj, Kruthika and Esther Anil in a glimpse of their intense performances.

Jointly bankrolled by D Suresh Babu, Antony Perumbavoor and Rajkumar Sethupathi, the movie is written by the director himself. The movie is a direct OTT release, which is arriving on the same platform where the Malayalam original starring Mohanlal was premiered. The film will be out on November 25.
