After Memories and Oozham, Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph and Prithviraj will once again team up for a thriller that will go on floors in 2023. The movie will be produced for the FEFKA Director’s Union, whose official B Unnikrishnan had made the announcement a few days ago.

Bankrolled by Ramesh P Pillai, the movie marks the third collaboration between the director and actor, who have been good friends too. As per reports, Jeethu had been in discussions with the actor and the movie will go on floors after each of them have completed their prior commitments.

Jeethu is currently busy with Mohanlal’s Ram, which we hear now has been planned to be released in two parts. The big budget film was put on hold after completing 70% of its shoot before the pandemic due to the worldwide lockdown. The filmmaker earlier told OTTplay that during the gap of two years, he has revisited the script to increase its scale. The film will resume shooting in the UK and Middle East later this month, after Mohanlal winds up his Bigg Boss Malayalam duties as a host.

The filmmaker has also planned another project with Mohanlal, which is also expected to go on floors sometime later next year or in 2024. Meanwhile, Prithviraj too will be dedicating the bulk to 2023 for his directorial Empuraan, which will have Mohanlal in the lead. The movie is currently expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2023.

This year, the actor, whose next release Kaduva will hit theatres on July, has a packed schedule with him next beginning work on Kaapa, which is helmed by Shaji Kailas and produced by the FEFKA Writer’s Union. He will later complete Jayan Nambiar’s Vilayath Buddha, before moving on to shoot his portions for Salaar, which is produced by Hombale Films and directed by KGF filmmaker Prashanth Neel.
