Drishyam 2: Shriya Saran shares photos from the wrap of Ajay Devgn starrer; thanks the ‘best crew ever’

Ajay Devgn’s 2015 family thriller Drishyam was a big hit with the Hindi audience and its sequel, Drishyam 2, is a highly-anticipated movie. Shriya Saran, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, has now shared pictures from the movie’s wrap and has also written a heartfelt note.

The actor took to Instagram to share photos with the fans, while also writing a heartfelt note. The first picture shows a bouquet of flowers with a note that reads, “Congratulations on completion of second part”. Another picture shows the movie’s cast and crew cutting a celebratory cake. The actor also thanked her husband Andrei Koscheev for the flowers.

“Thank you for the best crew ever ! @abhishekpathakk you are ammmaaaazzziiingggg director . So happy to have worked with you,” wrote Shriya. Calling co-star Tabu “gorgeous and beautiful inside out”, she wrote, “Absolutely love you !”

The actor also thanked Ajay Devgn for being a fantastic actor and said that it was a pleasure working with him again. The two played a happily married couple in Drishyam, before their family meets with an accident that leads to unfortunate events.

Drishyam was the official Hindi remake of the blockbuster 2013 Malayalam movie of the same name, starring Mohanlal in the lead. The Hindi remake starred Devgn in the lead along with Shriya, Tabu, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav in supporting roles.

Drishyam 2, the sequel to the Malayalam movie was released on Amazon Prime Video in February 2021, and received rave reviews. The Hindi remake of the sequel also stars Akshaye Khanna, playing a police officer who is still investigating the case from the first movie.

Backed by Panorama Studios, Viacom18 Motion Pictures and T-Series, Drishyam 2 is set to hit cinemas on November 18.
