Box office receipts for Dream Girl 2 have been consistently in the double digits. The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, has been his highest-grossing opening film to date, with a total of Rs. 24.71 crore after just two days in theatres. It has broken all records thanks to its comedic element and ensemble cast, which includes Paresh Rawal, Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, and the duo of Ektaa R. Dream Girl 2 plot

In Dream Girl 2 Karam (Ayushmann), a young man from Mathura, is having trouble coming up with the money to pay off the debt that his father (Annu Kapoor) racked up by borrowing money from almost everyone on earth. On the other side, he is head over heels in love with Pari (Ananya Panday), whose father (Manoj Joshi) has a few requirements to meet before they can get married. Karam decides to dress up as Pooja to make ends meet, leading to complete anarchy and a comedy of errors.
