Lionsgate Play has been consistently delivering shows and movies for subscribers who have enjoyed the content on the platform. In the past few months, the streamer has made sure they have something for everyone by releasing a slate of varied content, from fresh releases to new ones, and even re-releases of old classic movies. As the slate for July continues to grow with big names such as Nicolas Cage, Brie Larson, Mark Wahlberg, and Adam Driver, Mandy Moore and Édgar Ramírez also make their attendance with their show. Dr. Death Season 2, starring the This Is Us star alongside Ramírez in the lead, is now releasing on the Lionsgate Play app.

For the unversed, we recently reported how the makers of Dr. Death Season 2 are finally ready to release the show in India. The medical crime drama released in the West in December 2023 and was praised for its content and acting performances. It turns out we now know the release date, and it is not far from today. Read on to know everything about this massive update of the day.
Dr. Death Season 2 will be released on Lionsgate Play in July, and the show has been scheduled for the first half. The Mandy Moore and Édgar Ramírez starrer will hit the streaming platform on July 12, 2024, and will be released in English only. The show is an eight-episode series, and all of them will drop on the platform on the same day.

About Dr. Death Season 2
Based on the life of Benita Alexander, NBC Producer, Dr. Death 2 explores her relationship with Dr. Paolo Macchiarini, whom she was working with on a Dateline story about him. Soon they fell in love, even though he was already married, but she was kept in the dark. However, that was not the only deception. He also claimed to be a surgeon to the stars and a personal surgeon to the Pope himself. After many of his patients died, an investigation found Paolo Macchiarini guilty of research fraud and forging documents. He was then investigated for medical manslaughter but never tried, although he was deemed to have acted "without due care."
It stars Édgar Ramírez as Paolo Macchiarini, Luke Kirby as Dr. Nathan Gamelli, Gustaf Hammarsten as Dr. Anders Svensson, Mandy Moore as Benita Alexander, Greg Hildreth as Luke, Ashley Madekwe as Dr. Ana Lasbrey, and Celestina Harris as Lizzi, among others.
