Dulquer Salmaan is set to make the long-awaited comeback to the Malayalam film industry, with a big budget venture in 2025. The movie, directed by RDX fame filmmaker Nahas Hidayath, is reportedly set to go on floors by the first week of February 2025. If the latest updates are to be believed, the celebrated actor is planning to team up with the technicians of blockbuster film Manjummel Boys and Thallumala for the project, which has been tentatively titled DQ 40.

If the recent updates are to be believed, art director Ajayan Chalissery, and cinematographer Jimshi Khalid have joined the technical crew of Dulquer Salmaan and Nahas Hidayath’s much-awaited project. For the uninitiated, Ajayan Chalissery earned immense love for his work in the 2024-released blockbuster film, Manjummel Boys. Jimshi Khalid, on the other hand, is best known for the stunning visuals of Tovino Thomas and Khalid Rahman’s super hit film, Thallumala.

If the reports are to be believed, Dulquer Salmaan and director Nahas Hidayath’s project is an action-packed entertainer, that has sci-fi elements. The untitled project reportedly features popular Tamil actress Priyanka Mohan, and Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth, as the female leads. SJ Suryah is expected to play the lead antagonist in the film. The filming of DQ 40 is expected to start rolling by the first week of February 2024. But, Dulquer Salmaan will join the sets of the film, only by the final week of the month, after wrapping up the first schedule of his Telugu film, Aakasam Lo Oka Tara.

Antony Varghese Pepe, Lal, and Baiju Santhosh are expected to play the other pivotal roles in the film. Jakes Bejoy is expected to join the project, as the music composer. Chaman Chakko is expected to handle the editing.The highly anticipated project is bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s home banner Wayfarer Films, in association with the leading Telugu production banner, Vyjayanthi Movies.
