The makers of Ram Pothineni's latest film Double Ismart, which has been in the making for a long time now, dropped an update about its theatrical release. It has been confirmed that the movie will hit the big screen on August 15, along with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. The film is the sequel to Puri’s blockbuster hit, Ismart Shankar, which is streaming on ZEE5.
Double Ismart gets a theatrical release date
After a lot of negative coverage because director Puri Jagan's last movie, Liger, was a huge commercial failure, the producers officially announced August 15 as the movie's theatrical release date today. The film’s release date was also changed multiple times by the makers this year. Recently, the movie's teaser was released.
Under the banner of Puri Connects, Puri Jaganadh and Charmee Kaur are co-producing the movie. In this movie, Sanjay Dutt portrays the antagonist, and his fee was almost Rs 6 crore. According to reports, one of the female leads, Kavya Thapar, will play a very intriguing role.

Double Ismart's pre-release business faced difficulties
Given how disastrous Liger was, Double Ismart's pre-release business is likewise going very poorly. The news claims that not many distributors are willing to purchase the movie in the Telugu states. Mumbai served as the primary location for Double Ismart's filming. The filmmakers did not hold back when it came to spending a huge amount to shoot the climax.
Financial concerns abruptly put an end to the action drama after a significant portion of filming was completed. Rumour had it that Ram Pothineni would not visit the sets until a portion of his payment had been settled. However, given that Skanda, his previous movie, was a box office bust, Ram must make his comeback at all costs. The actor achieved unprecedented levels of fame with Ismart Shankar. Whether it was his performance or style, Ram's mass avatar captured the hearts of many.
