Double Ismart: Puri Jagan to launch a new heroine with the Ram Pothineni starrer, here's what we know

Puri Jagan suffered a massive setback as his last film, Liger ended as a massive flop at the box office. The result was so bad that Vijay Deverakonda called off his new film with Puri Jagan and landed the director in massive financial losses. After staying low for over six months, Puri Jagan is back in the game as he has announced his new film Double Ismart with Ram Pothineni.

The film is the sequel to his super hit film Ismart Shankar and the shoot has already begun. A few days back, news came out that Shraddha Kapoor and Meenakshi Chowdhary of HIT 2 fame have been roped in as the female leads. But now, one of the close sources of the team has revealed to us that Puri Jagan is searching for a new face to be launched in this film. The source goes on to add that Puri has three to four names in mind and will finalize one very soon.

Puri Jagan has introduced so many heroines like Anushka Shetty, Disha Patani, and Ileana in Telugu cinema and most of them are superstars in their own right. Ismart Shankar had Nabha Natesh and Niddhi Agerwal as the female leads and it is yet unknown whether they will be part of the sequel or not.

There is news that Double Ismart is not the sequel and the character of Shankar and the basic premise will be the same. Puri Jagan has given memorable hits in the past but the flak he faced with Liger was too hard to digest. So, all eyes are now on him and Double Ismart. The last time, Ram and Puri Jagan teamed up for Ismart Shankar, the fans and masses went crazy. We need to see what kind of magic will they create this time around.

On the other hand, Ram Pothineni's other film, Skandha in the direction of Boyapati Sreenu is all set for a release soon. The action drama will be out on September 15th and has Sreeleela as the female lead.
