Atlanta will release sometime in 2022.
Brian Tyree Henry in the teaser for Atlanta Season 3 | YouTube
A trailer of Atlanta Season 3 was recently released by creator and star Donald Glover via a website gilga.com.
The minute long clip is set to Sun Ra’s 'It’s After The End of the World' as the camera goes over an empty theater, a deserted street, a of chairs in a room where televisions play to no one, an escalator, an elevator, a staircase, a dark bar, and a vacant hallway.
The teaser concludes with a shot of Brian Tyree Henry's Paper Boi sitting on a table. His shirt reads "Fake" in all caps, while there stand two uniformed servants facing the wall.
Besides Henry, none of the series regulars like LaKeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Glover himself feature in the video. The cryptic clip does not give away anything except for the show's release date.
The second season of Atlanta ended with Paper Boi and his crew heading for a Europe tour. The third season is expected to pick up from there, though what exactly the story will be about is yet to be revealed.
Atlanta is still being shot, and had faced delay due to the pandemic. In September last year, FX Networks and FX Productions chairman John Landgraf had said that the shutdown of production had forced them to delay the show's release, according to Variety.
