Just a few months ago, there was a strong buzz in the Bollywood circles when the news came to light that, after the success of Don and Don 2, the film’s makers were planning to make Don 3. After the traditional tossing of many names ranging from Shah Rukh Khan to Aamir Khan to Akshay Kumar to Ranbir Kapoor, it was finally decided (read ‘officially announced’) that it will be Ranveer Singh who will be playing the leading role in the film.

Amidst all this, there was actor Arjun Rampal (who will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Crakk’) who spoke about Ranveer Singh being a part of the film Don 3. Speaking in an interview with India Today, Arjun Rampal said that, there were many people who were seen having a lot of speculations about why Ranveer (Singh) and not Shah Rukh Khan and that both the actor's fan clubs were going after one another. He added that the same thing happened when Amitabh Bachchan was Don and Shah Rukh was going to lift that mantle, which he thought was a great franchise.

"It will be fun to see Ranveer as Don"

And when asked about his take / comment about Ranveer Singh coming on board with Don 3 in the titular role, Arjun Rampal said that while it would be fun to see Ranveer as Don, it will also be fun and exciting to see Farhan back directing a film. As for the film ‘Don 3’, the film’s makers put an end to all the speculations about the film’s leading lady by announcing that it will be Kiara Advani who will be seen as the leading lady.

For the unversed, Arjun Rampal was seen in the role of Arjun Rampal as Jasjit Ahuja in the first part of the Don film that starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the leading roles.
