The actor-director duo’s upcoming project, titled Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, is touted to be a comedy investigation thriller. Mammootty is set to play the titular character Dominic, a former cop in the film, which marks Gautham Vasudev Menon’s first outing in Malayalam cinema, will hit the theatres on December 23, 2025. The Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial revolves around the life of Dominic, a police officer who was dismissed from the force due to a rare colour blindness, which led to a major error in an important investigation. However, the life of the protagonist, who is now leading his life as a broke and divorced ex-cop who even struggles to pay his old landlady, takes a major turn after he gets entwined in a mysterious case. Mammootty plays Dominic in the film, which stars Gokul Suresh, Sushmita Bhat, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Viji Venkatesh, Wafa Khatheeja, Lenaa, and others in the pivotal role.
