Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was one of the biggest Hollywood movies to release in India this year. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about his love for the movie, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and has revealed how the sequel to the 2016 film is his favourite in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

"Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness is a real madness of multiple genres, fan theories and interpretation, it is a multiverse of movies! Every time you watch it, a new fascinating theory emerges, and it is an eye-opener. It’s my favourite Marvel movie,” he said in a statement.

The actor also explained that he liked Cumberbatch’s work in the movie and that to play so many versions of the same character in one movie is remarkable. He also added that every superhero fan is bound to be amazed by the “masterpiece”.

The Masaan actor also urged movie fans to watch the superhero film, which is now available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness follows Steven Strange as he ventures into the multiverse with America Chavez (Xochitl Gómez), a teeanger with powers of opening doorways through universes.

Doctor Strange 2 made close to $1 billion at the worldwide box office despite receiving mixed reviews. “Raimi's return to the world of Marvel with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a homecoming for him, and he has indeed done a marvelous job. But, the demonic sorcery that is hyped well will leave you asking for more,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Sheila Atim, Adam Hugill, Michael Stühlbarg and Rachel McAdams, started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on June 22.
