Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is among the most awaited superhero films to release this year. Marvel India’s social media account shared stills of the monsters in the movie led by Benedict Cumberbatch before informing us that the pre-booking is now live.
The stills have grisly monsters, with tentacles that stretch across streets and ghastly eyes. One looks like it’s made completely out of lava with a literal fire burning in its eyes.
Here’s the gallery of stills:
On April 24, the studio had shared a featurette clip introducing the terror that both Doctor Strange and Elisabeth Olsen’s Wanda Witch have to face.
The video also features director Sam Raimi talking about how he had been a fan of the first Doctor Strange film (2016) finding it “intelligent and interesting”. So when he received the offer to direct the sequel he thought it would make a fascinating challenge for him as a filmmaker.
In addition to Cumberbatch and Olsen the film also stars Benedict Wong Xochitl Gomez Chiwetel Ejiofor Michael Stuhlbarg and Rachel McAdams in pivotal roles.
The movie will see Dr Strange travel into the multiverse to face a new threat. The events in the film take place in the aftermath of the events in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in Indian theatres on May 6 in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
