The movie, directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, stars Ayushmann Khurrana as the male lead
Rakul Preet Singh, who plays Dr. Fatima in the much-awaited campus drama Doctor G says that the shoot of the film has been an interesting experience. In a recent interview with Times of India, the actress admitted that wearing a doctor’s coat made her feel responsible, even though it was for the character.
The Anubhuti Kashyap directorial has Ayushmann Khurrana playing the male lead, where the couple are presented as doctors. Rakul further said that she went through several look tests, and underwent training too, for her character. She added that she learnt particular mannerisms for making her character a convincing one, and the altogether shoot experience was interesting for her.
Rakul had shared her first look from the movie someday ago in her social pages. She had posted a picture of herself in red kurta, green dupatta and doctor’s coat and captioned, ‘Presenting Dr. Fatima! One of my most exciting characters and a script I am super thrilled about’.
Sharing about her combination with Ayushmann, the actress said she had a blast working with him. Both of them seem to be foodies and could enjoy certain exclusive humour, as they come from the same state. She commented on his professionalism and the dedication for improvisation of the scenes. Ayushmann is also sharp in picking up the improvisations for his fellow actors, which is a very important trait according to the actress.

Doctor G is a comedy social drama, backed by Junglee Pictures. The movie also has Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha appearing in the supporting roles alongside the doctor couple.
